Brother Hale\u2019s drums and his sister\u2019s incendiary vocals give way to ferocious ode to self-love<em> I Am The Fire. <\/em>Gone is its former chugging intensity, this version\u2019s a slow burner. Standout gem <em>Break In <\/em>sees Ms Hale join forces with Evanescence\u2019s Amy Lee for a lesson in powerhouse vocals: \u201cYou let me fall apart without letting go.\u201d Hale\u2019s serrated growls replace Whitney Houston\u2019s melisma in a hard rock <em>I Will Always <\/em>Love<em> You, <\/em>and layered vocals in the ever-threatening <em>Mz Hyde <\/em>still warn off any potential suitor. Josh Smith\u2019s distorted bass concludes the album with the same steel-toed grit with which it began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While these reimagined Halestorm favourites might be realised differently, their essential attitude remains undimmed.
