If I\u2019m Crazy<\/em>\nportrays the oft-overlooked, torturous side of love, a pain clearly portrayed\nthrough the Devil\u2019s voice. First Day of\nthe End of My Life<\/em> exhibits but one example of the astonishingly dark\nlyrics – \u2018I took years to find a meaningful and peaceful place to die,\u2019 and Preacher Feature<\/em> combines Leonard\nCohen\u2019s poetry with Johnny Cash\u2019s southern twang, all with a decent portion of\nlost hope. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The acoustic, Southern gothic style doesn\u2019t showcase Brad\nWilk\u2019s drumming; Ross Robinson\u2019s excellent production emphasises the ardent\nmisery of the entire record. If you\u2019ve lost your keys or missed the bus, don\u2019t\nlisten to it.
